If you like people, have a passion for scuba diving and want an extraordinary life – become a PADI Instructor. Teaching scuba diving allows you to share your love of the aquatic world with others while doing what you enjoy – being in, around and under water. Hard work and commitment will reward you with the ability to share incredible underwater adventures with others – transforming their lives for the better and enriching yours. The PADI IDC is the best way to make this happen!
You will complete all the bookwork for the PADI IDC through an online eLearning program that will be supplimented by various workshops that take place across a few different evening classroom sessions and a couple full saturday sessions at the scuba shop in Albany.
Some of the IDC workshops will take place in the pool as well as the scoring of scuba skills and teaching presentations. The number of pool sessions wil depend on how the upcoming course is set up.
There is a couple teaching presentation that take place in the lake and a few workshops that deal with continuing education courses. These usually take place at Lake George, just north of Albany. These dive sessions can be completed in warm water during a planned dive trip instead of the lake.
