The first level of professional training
Take your scuba diving to a whole new level and become a leader who mentors and motivates others. Through the PADI Divemaster Course you will gain dive knowledge, supervision abilities, and become a role model to divers around the world.
Prerequisites
In order to start Divemaster training you must have the following completed...
- Rescue Diver certification
- 18 Years or older
- 40 logged dives
- First Aid & CPR training in last 24 months
- Signed medical form in last 12 months
Course Content
Classroom Sessions
As you read through the Divemaster manual and review PADI teaching materials we will meet for 8 different classroom sessions to dicuss the role of a divemaster and review diving knowledge. Classroom sessions tka epalce at the shop in Albany.
Pool Sesssions
Throughout the Divemaster course you will spend time in the pool shadowing all five weeks of an open water course as well as seperate practice pool time, a couple of workshops and 5 different pool sessions for testing and scoring of scuba skills.
Lake Dives
Divemaster training will have you participating in many different aspects of lake diving from shadowing and assisting with classes and organizing the dive site to testing and scoring scuba skills. Everything you need to be a great PADI Divemaster
Other Training
Some of the experience you gain through Divemaster training will consist of learning to fill tanks, managing course gear, running surface support and helping with classroom teaching.
