The instructors with Kraken Scuba are amazing. First and foremost is that they make sure you are safe and feel safe doing the dive. It was an awesome experience to do the ice dive course with Kraken Scuba. They explain everything clearly and make ice diving a breeze. I enjoyed every moment ice diving with Kraken Scuba. I recommend any one that wants to learn to scuba dive do it with Kraken Scuba. I want to give a huge shout out to the instructors. Thank you Anna, Mike, Rob, Phil, Marty, Jay, and Scott. I appreciate the knowledge you all provided during this dive course. 

Not only did I have a chance to network with other divers, but also had the hands on opportunity to see how a variety of gear works! Instructor Robert J Keller, led us through a variety of scenarios where we can prevent damage, maintain gear on our own ...... and when it's best to see a certified technician! I recommend this class to anyone looking to have a deeper "dive" on the gear we rely on. 

The most profesional, kind, dedicated and passionate diver instructors I have ever met. It was an absolute pleasure to have learned from them, and I cannot recommend this team more (10/10!!) I look forward to continue growing as a new diver with them! Thank you to Brian, Rob, Brian, Nate, Steve, Anna, and all the other volunteers and dive masters for their patience with us and sharing their fun diving experiences with us in class.  

One of the best experiences I have ever had. The staff was awesome, and my roommate was hilarious. The diving conditions were awesome as well as the sites, can't say enough about the great boat dives we accomplished and the knowledge of the captain.  Eagerly looking forward to the next great Kraken adventure. 

I was certified at the age of 14 and dove until about age 20. While vacationing in my 40's, I had a huge desire to explore the magical underwater world once again! Nathan Miglucci of Kraken Scuba went out of his way to not only review necessary topics, but gave me a chance to add topics that I may need a refresher on. It was a stress free experience and I'm now eager to take the Advance Open Water class! 

From my first training session at the pool to the very end dive number 4 at Lake George the Kraken scuba staff was very professional and had the most patience of any instructors I've ever experienced. At any time I feel uncomfortable with the task at hand the dive instructors and the divemasters took all the time that was needed to calm myself and to reinforce my training and to trust my training at no time was I uncomfortable knowing that a professional staff was at my arm's length at all times I am very proud of myself and I would recommend scuba diving to anyone with the desire to test themselves and see the excitement Kraken SCUBA opened to me. I accomplished all this while being with my 18 year old grandson Dominic who also became Open Water certified diver with me and I am so very proud of him. Thank you all at Kraken scuba and I am very happy to be part of this team.

Excellent Ice Diving Course! This was my first experience with Kraken Scuba. I found them very well organized and professional, but also a lot of fun and casual (thanks to the Staff). During the classroom portion, Mike and Rob did an outstanding job covering the differences involved when diving under the ice. Once at the lake, they, along with Anna, Nate, Marty & Steve were extremely helpful. Every one of them makes you feel welcomed and like part of the Kraken Scuba family. I look forward to the opportunity to dive with them again.

Class was rigorous and informative. The instructor, Rob, was knowledgeable, patient, and kept the class interesting. Events and courses at Kraken always lend themselves to developing comradery with fellow divers. 

My son and I decided to get certified to scuba dive.  We headed to Kraken and all my questions were quickly answered.  We signed up for the course, we were fitted with gear and after classroom & in pool training we were on our way to perform our check out dives!  We are hooked! Anna and all the instructors were so helpful and easy to work with.  I highly recommend checking them out.  You won’t be disappointed.

The staff at Kraken are the BEST!  My son John was 14 years old and he took the course with my 22 year old nephew.  They worked very hard and made the course fun but also a great leaning experience.  The knowledge possessed by the Kraken staff is amazing.  The teaching ability of the staff is top notch.  I would recommend them to anyone interested in learning to SCUBA dive or continue their education to contact them.  They are the BEST! 

The team at Kraken Scuba have been the most wonderful and supportive team I could have imagined to safely and confidently get my scuba certifications with. I was very nervous as a larger bodied diver about how my body would be viewed or that I would not be able to keep up with others in the class. Instead of being frustrated with me, Anna (and every other trainer) was not only incredibly accommodating but often gave me tricks and tips and took time to go slow with me so that I could really get comfortable before completing my certification dives. Going to Cozumel with the group after my certification allowed me to grow my skills by leaps and bounds with the team I already trusted to keep me safe while pushing me to gain confidence in my skills. I honestly cannot imagine having gotten my certification anywhere else, and I hope to continue diving with these folks as long as possible. If you're at all hesitating, definitely give Kraken a try! 

KRAKEN IS AWESOME! I took my open water certification course with Jay, Anna, and Rob last year. I was extremely nervous to take this course only because I've always hated the feeling of getting water up my nose. Yep, I'm a 25 year old who still plugs her nose... But, I've always wanted to become certified so I can experience that under-water life when traveling and to complement my work as a limnologist. I was determined to succeed despite my fear. During the first pool session I had trouble completing the mask skills (taking your mask off under water). As soon as water hit my nostrils I freaked out. Jay worked with me one-on-one, calmed me down, and gave me tips on how to prevent water from getting up my nose. Anna also gave me encouraging words of advice, she also had difficulty when she was first being certified! I still left that first day feeling very defeated. I love a challenge, and I usually succeed. This was the first time I felt like I may not be able to conquer my goal. At the start of the second pool session Jay worked with me again and by the end of the day I was swimming around the whole pool with no mask on! When the open water portion of the class came around this past summer I was excited to finally become certified! But...I burst my eardrum on the first day. Turns out I have chronic sinus congestion. I was really bummed because that was the last weekend they were doing certifications that summer. Jay came to the rescue again and took me out a month later once my ear healed and I was able to pass the course! I could not give Kraken Scuba a higher recommendation. They go WAY above and beyond with their clients and I have already been recommending them to my friends.
